This exhibitions provides a display of photographs and memorabilia that supports three recent publications by author Alan Clark. The trilogy of books on the old trades of Saddler and Tanner, Coachmen, and Blacksmiths is a detailed and fascinating reminder of how society operated in days before private cars, plastics and our throw away rabbits. 


Shoalhaven - Our domestic history

Room 3 of Museum holds a permanent display of fascinating artefacts and memorabilia from the lives of everyday citizens of the Shoalhaven. From fashion ware to dinner bells, this walk down memory lane will be sure to enthral old and young alike. Items in the display are regular updated.


Samuel Elyard Gallery
The main hallway of the Nowra Museum is a small gallery dedicated to the works of Samuel Elyard. Elyard was a prolific painter and photographer that produced many fascinating and detailed water colour and oil painting of the Shoalhaven region in the mid to late 1800's. The Museum holds a collection of 45 works with approximately 10 on permanent display.
